New to Holy Communion?

Holy Communion is open to all baptized Christians who have examined their lives, repented of their sins, and desire to live in love and charity with all people.

Those desiring to receive communion are invited to come to the altar when directed by the ushers. It is customary to consume the bread when administered, and then to take a sip of the wine from the chalice. If preferred, the bread may first be touched to the wine and then consumed.

Those not wishing to receive communion, or those not baptized, are invited to receive a blessing, and should indicate their desire by placing their arms across their chest when at the altar.

Persons who are unable to approach the altar are asked to notify the ushers if they wish to receive communion in their seats.
