Walking with Christ: Ascension Day Hike & Prayer

Jesus ascended into heaven to stand before the Father as our loving mediator and faithful advocate, interceding for all who call on His name. 1 Timothy 2:5; 1 John 2:1

This Ascension Day, I invite you to celebrate, worship, and honor our risen Lord by ascending the Lewis Creek Trail—a journey through God’s beautiful creation that mirrors Christ’s own ascent into glory.

The Lewis Creek Trail offers a beautiful hiking experience nestled among towering pine trees, with the added charm of a few waterfalls along the way. This moderately challenging trail stretches about 3.5 miles round trip from the base to the midpoint and back.

To enjoy the hike comfortably, be sure to bring sturdy shoes, plenty of water, a snack, sunscreen, and a hat.
